Parsons sacked Stafford (his second of the night), forcing him to fumble, and Dallas' Williams recovered it to get Dallas the ball back yet again and seal the victory. To end the game, Dallas did exactly what they did to start the game. Those two huge plays by the Cowboys D gave them the ball back and even once the Rams got it back again, the Dallas defense made absolutely sure nothing came of it. Odighizuwa sacked Stafford just before Hooker intercepted a pass by Stafford. The Dallas defense continued to dominate. The Rams and Cowboys went back and forth on offense for a while before finally Cowboys kicker Maher got another field goal, a 36-yard attempt that put Dallas up 22-10. Their kicker, Matt Gay, missed his first field goal of the season, a 51-yard attempt. The Dallas defense kept doing their thing, holding the Rams to a field goal attempt. At the end of the 3rd quarter, the Cowboys were up 19-10. There was a little bit of a scare when Cowboys defender Micah Parsons left the game with a groin injury, but he was back at it pretty quick and immediately got a sack on Stafford (his second of the night), so I guess he's just fine. Jalen Ramsey got a sack on Rush and the Cowboys were held to just a field goal with 8 minutes left in the 3rd. ![]() The Rams defense was working hard to keep Dallas out of the endzone and doing a good job of it. ![]() Dallas held them to 4th down and the Rams didn't take the risk of a field goal, leaving the game with the Cowboys at a 16-10 lead going into halftime. The defenses dominated, forcing 4th downs on both sides. T he Rams though, faked it on 4th and 5 and Dixon got a pickup of 12 for the 1st down. The Rams couldn't get far enough after that, though. Running back Tony Pollard exploded through the defenders and taking off on a 57-yard run for the touchdown. The Cowboys took back the lead, 16-10.ĭonald got a second sack on Rush to start off the next drive. Rush gave the ball to Lamb, who took off for 16 yards and on the next play, they got the score. The Rams got their first touchdown to start off the 2nd quarter on a huge explosive play by none other than star wide receiver Cooper Kupp, who busted out with a 75-yard run for the TD. That gave Rams the lead for the first time, 10-9 with 9:31 remaining in the half. Rush got sacked by Aaron Donald just before the end of the 1st quarter. The Cowboys defense held the Rams off again, avoiding a touchdown but Gay got them the 29-yard field goal to make it a 6-point game. They're only able to get a field goal from that, but it's enough to give the Cowboys a 9-0 lead early in the 1st quarter. Then, Armstrong AGAIN makes a big play, blocking the punt and giving Dallas the ball right in Rams territory. ![]() Just after that , Stafford made 3 incomplete passes in a row to bring the Rams to 4th down. They missed the extra point as the ball came loose. On the Rams' first drive of the game, Armstrong sacked and forced a fumble on Stafford and Lawrence recovered it and ran it in to give the Cowboys the touchdown to start off the game.
